Each of us is called to worship God with our entire life, including our time, talents and resources. Sharing those resources is an important way to worship the Giver of all good things. He sees giving as an act of worship, and learning to give generously to God teaches each of us to trust Him more. Giving is also a way of expanding your ministry exponentially beyond your own talents and time.We pledge to be good stewards of your gifts, taking great care in how we manage and track the resources entrusted to us.

Where Does Your Offering Go?
Unless you designate your giving, it goes to the General Fund, which resources all West Shore's ministries in accordance with the operating budget (i.e. children, youth, missions, prayer, A-Team, services, worship, staffing, facility maintenance, and debt service).

Donations to the Building Fund go specifically toward paying our mortgage (or debt service) and any current building project(s).

The Missions Fund is directly used to support our missionaries and their work around the world over and above the funds set aside for missions in our general fund operating budget.

The Benevolence Fund is a way to help those in financial need who are part of the West Shore Church family.

Giving Methods

You may make your gifts in a variety of forms as detailed below. You will receive a receipt of your tax-deductible gifts in accordance with IRS requirements. Please let us know if you have any specific needs regarding the timing of these notifications; otherwise, you will receive the minimum summary of your gifts necessary to meet government standards.

Sunday Mornings and Giving Envelopes
We provide giving envelopes at the lobby information kiosk and in the chair-backs in the church Sanctuary. Please use the envelopes for cash and designated giving via cash or check. We take an offering at every Sunday morning service as part of our worship. You may place your check or envelope in the offering plate during worship or drop it in one of the two offering boxes. One offering box is at the Sermon Central window and the other box is located under the center of the church mailboxes.

When we give to God’s work we invest in eternity. Jim Elliott, the martyred missionary said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” As 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 says, may we give “that you may have an abundance for every good deed.” You can learn how to give systematically, cheerfully and generously by exploring how God views money and giving. Helpful resources can be found in Sermon Central or at Dave Ramsey's website.
