Hello!
You are always welcome at West Shore Evangelical Free Church (WSEFC) whether you are visiting or seeking a church home. We are located in Mechanicsburg on Williams Grove Road, about two miles from the intersection of Route 15 and Lisburn Road.
Worship Services are at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m., with some exceptions on special holidays.
When you arrive...
You have several options. You can:
- Stop by our Welcome area located on the main upper level, where friendly folks will answer your questions and direct you to the right places.
- Take your elementary age children to the tiki hut center on the lower level where helpful people will explain and direct you to our Awesome Adventure classes.
- Bring your little ones to the Nursery and Preschool located on the upper level in the hallway near the stairs and elevator.
- Introduce your pre-teen or teenager to the leaders of the youth class, which meets at 10:45 a.m. in Room Y226 on the upper level.
- Join in an adult Fellowship Group. The Welcome staff can tell you all about those groups.
- Go into the sanctuary for the worship service, where ushers will provide you with a bulletin and help you with seating, if you wish. The format is comfortable, with lots of music, a Biblical sermon, prayer, and times during and after the service to greet others. You will not be singled out as a visitor.
Learning More
Should you want to discover more about the church and become regularly involved, you can do that in steps, if you wish, as follows:
- Attend a Newcomers Luncheon, which is scheduled three times a year and provides an opportunity to learn about the church from our pastoral staff. Your children are welcome to attend with you.
- Participate in a Connecting Class, a five-week, in-depth look at West Shore Evangelical Free Church. These are the dates and topics for the next Connecting Class:
September 19 - Finding Your Way at West Shore - Mission and Overview
September 26 - NO CLASS - Ministry Expo - all are invited to attend this event
October 3 - What We Believe - Doctrine
October 10 - Getting Connected into Community
October 17 - Getting Connected into Service
October 24 - Getting Connected to the Family - Membership
- Consider membership. To join the church, you will need to attend at least four of the five Connection Class sessions or participate in a Saturday morning Membership Class, which is held twice a year. A church Elder will then interview you and submit your name for approval by the Board of Elders, after which church members will vote on acceptance at a congregational meeting.
For more information or to register for any of orientation and membership activities, please contact Marilyn Lesko at 620-2330 x107.
